Looking up at the Sky

When I look at the sky I wonder why I’m even alive Why I even try To get on with this life of mine

When I look at the sky I think back on all my lies I cry and cry And wish I’d died When I lost my mind During that horrible time

When I look at the sky I think of my long and lonely ride With no one here as my guide While everyone else is taking sides Killing and not caring about each other’s lives

When I look above me I feel like I’ll always be lonely So misunderstood and barely Able to stand the world around me Falling to my knees and crying Not knowing why everyone else is dying While I live alone with nothing

Why can’t I just end it all? Why can’t I just answer death’s call? Because I don’t think it’s that easy I think there’s more to my story I think if I keep on going I’ll stop longing

And I’ll look up at the sky And I’ll no longer cry Because someone will be with me Laying by my side
